Improvisations

Memoria/Olvido

A series of soundscapes based on studies on the relationship between time, space, light, and perspective with memory.

The first album showing results from this experiment features 3 different trios following the same set of "rules" for the repertoire and sharing Lautaro Mantilla on guitar. The album will be released in Spring 2023.

Video: Por la ventana/ Out the window - Structured Improvisation based on the concept of memory as a window. Throughout its three movements, it exposes three different angles, or perspectives, over the same story from the past. Performed in the Composer's series curated by John Mallia at New England Conservatory (Timecode 16:15)

Boston, MA April 2022

Cretella- Mantilla

This collaboration started in 2009. Spastic duos for guitar. Like eating way too much sugary cereal (with those fake marshmallows) on not nearly enough sleep. The first album as a duo will be out in Spring 2023.
